Accelerated Learning Programme

During these classes, we consolidate previous learning and prepare students for exams. The lessons are designed to ensure that students become familiar with and can apply the Assessment Objectives to exam questions, both during class assessments and in their end of year exams.


Each lesson is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to achieve the top levels in English Language.

Year 10: Summer Term 2

  • Writers use Language to create meaning and Effects (AO2)
  • Writers use Structure to engage readers (A02)
  • The Critical Evaluation of texts ( AO4)

 

Imaginative Writing ( AO5 and AO6)

  • Writing a Description based on a Picture
  • Writing the opening of a Story 





Year 9: Summer Term 2

01 June 2026 - 10th July 2026 (6 weeks)

Language Paper 1  

Reading and Imaginative Writing

  • Writer’s use of Language to create meaning and Effects (AO2)
